Inspired by global climate change and the related issue of habitat loss, this series explores a possible final habitat of the myriad endangered species on planet Earth. The whimsical paintings also depict another subject that fascinates me; the cosmos.

Birds are one of my favorite animals.  I enjoy painting them in a mysterious, sometimes surreal setting.  These are watercolor, gouache, acrylic ink, acrylic paint, and pen & ink.  All paintings are on paper unless otherwise specified.

The branch of life that is one of the most fascinating to me is fungi. As well as being an avid mushroom forager, I enjoy painting these mysterious and beautiful lifeforms. These are all done with watercolor, gouache, and pen & ink. All paintings are on paper unless otherwise specified.

From landscapes and spacescapes, to leaf studies and depictions of other forms of nature (animate and inanimate alike), I find great pleasure in creating images that reflect the beauty, wonder, and diversity of the natural world around us. All paintings are on paper unless otherwise specified.

I enjoy exploring more abstract and conceptual forms of painting. In my opinion, watercolor is the most fascinating medium for creating the types of organic abstract images that I paint.

From fairies to other dimensions, worlds, and universes, these pieces represent my love of fantasy subjects and art.

INKTOBER is an online event where artists all over the world are invited to create one ink drawing per day for the month of October, inspired by the prompts dictated from INKTOBER.com.

I really enjoyed following the adventures of these grey aliens and their cat companions, characters that were inspired by my love of cats, the cosmos/universe, and of course, aliens/non-human intelligence!
